Welcome to Hallwood Park Primary and Nursery

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Hallwood Park Primary School and Nursery. We are a school dedicated to fostering a nurturing and engaging environment where every child is valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their very best.

As a true community school, we place the needs of our children and families at the heart of everything we do. From the very first steps in our nursery at age 3, our provision is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. We were delighted to extend our Nursery Provision to full-day places in January 2025, and from this academic year we are excited to open our 2-Year-Old Provision, ensuring children get the strongest possible start to their school journey.

In September 2024, we were proud to join the Shaw Education Trust. This partnership has already enriched our resources and expertise, helping us to provide even greater opportunities for our children, while maintaining the warm, inclusive ethos that makes Hallwood Park so special. We welcomed Brookfields Special School into our unused wing of the school building, and are delighted to be a part a truly special journey of inclusion and mutual support. 

This year, we are thrilled to celebrate some excellent achievements which reflect the hard work and dedication of our staff, pupils, and families:

• 82% of children passed the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check, and 100% passed by the end of Year 2 

• 55% of Year 4 pupils achieved full marks in the Multiplication Check

• Our KS2 SATs results were broadly in line with national averages with a whopping 86% of children reaching age related expectations in Maths

We are also especially proud of the improvements in attendance, which have risen from 92% to 96% This is a huge success for our whole school community and ensures our pupils are in school, learning, and thriving.
